England all-rounder Ben Stokes has been ruled out of the Ahmedabad Test with a stomach ache.
Ben Stokes said he lost 5kg in a week and spent more time in the toilet than on the Jack Leach Ground due to an upset stomach.
England lose series 3-1, T20 series on March 12,
In this regard Ben Stokes said:
We were fully committed to the England team. 41 degrees sun is not good for the body, so I had stomach upsets and in a week I lost 5 kg body weight.
Jack Leach went to the pavilion between bowling spells, spending more time in the toilet than Leach was on the field. But this is not an excuse, we all went down with all our hearts to play in the Tests. But India and Rishabh bowled terribly.
But in the difficult environment of the England players, I humbly adore the attempt to put up with the physical ailments. They made every effort and contribution to beat England.
Critics and cricket experts do their job. But they have a role to play in making us even better players. This is our mission and that is what we look forward to.
For many players, this is their first cricket trip to India.
It is a journey of deep learning for them. Neither Ally Pope, Jack Crawley, nor Tom Sibley need be discouraged that we are unworthy of this lofty Test platform. You are fantastic players.

I have come across such losing moments in my cricket career as well. I also understand that such trips will shatter your confidence.
You need to turn disappointment into steps to success and move forward by inspiring yourself.
Thus says Ben Stokes.
Ben Stokes pointed out that what happened to England in this series was that the future of many players was called into question by a substandard trash can that could end the Test in a day and a half and 2 days.
