In the qualification round, Kaur from Group B scored 64m in her third attempt and finished second. Kamalpreet has become the player to score a record for India.
Apart from Kamalpreet, Seema Punia from Group A scored 60.57m and finished sixth but missed out on qualifying for the final.
Talking about Kamalpreet, he scored 60.29 meters in the first attempt, 63.97 in the second, and 64 in the last attempt. 64 was the only qualification mark to reach the finals. Now Kamalpreet will present a claim for India in the final on August 2.
